Using this kit, you can easily try your hand at cyanotype. The kit provides all the materials and instructions you need. All you need is clear watercolour paper or cotton fabric.
Do you dream of making your own cyanotype prints? Try our clever Tool Kit. This kit gives you the most important accessories for creating beautiful blue prints using sunlight. The process is as easy as it is fascinating. First, take the two bottles of iron salts (ammonium iron citrate and potassium ferricyanide) – mix them with water – and leave them for 24 hours before use. This creates a light-sensitive fluid that you can activate using the power from the sun. Try it on e.g. paper, fabric, or an egg. The covered areas remain chalky white while the sun’s rays transform the exposed parts into deep blue images. Remember: Remember to use the gloves provided and maybe also goggles, as the liquid can irritate your eyes and skin .
Find inspiration in nature, and collect leaves and flowers for printing. If you want to, you can also make your own motifs using stencils and stickers.
