Our Story

Crafter’s Companion started life as a big dream in Sara Davies’ university bedroom in 2005. It was here that she had a light bulb moment about a ground-breaking product that could create envelopes for handmade cards - the Enveloper.

Since then, Crafter’s Companion has continued to create products to make crafting easier, more enjoyable, and beautifully rewarding. Not only have we grown from one exciting papercraft tool to a one-stop shop for thousands of crafting must-haves, but we’ve also inspired creativity all across the world by helping our dedicated community bring their crafting visions to life.

Our brands include Spectrum Noir colouring and drawing supplies, Threaders fabrics and sewing tools, and our chic, fashion-forward craft and stationery brand, Violet Studio. 

Where You’ll Find Us

Today, we have over 100 friendly staff across the UK who put the customer at the heart of everything we do. Our head office and warehouse are based in Country Durham, in the North East of England, and we also have a bricks-and-mortar store in Evesham, where we meet hundreds of our loyal customers every year.
