You’ll need!

Wine Glass
Foil Transfers – Birthday Wishes
Foils – Fuchsia Pink
Washi Tape
Modge Podge
Glitter

Step 1

Wash your glass thoroughly and dry it.

Step 2

Take a piece of washi tape and snip into it roughly to the halfway point along the whole length. You need to stick this all the way around the top of the glass stem with the uncut side facing down towards the stem as shown here:

Step 3

Using your Modge Podge paint a layer over the glass stem and base. Paint right up to and slightly over the Washi Tape. (When this is removed it will leave behind a lovely straight line).

Step 4

Sprinkle your glitter over the stem and base, it will be very patchy at this stage but don’t worry. Leave this to dry for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Gently tap the base of the glass to dislodge any loose glitter and then repeat step 4 another two times (more if needed), until you have an even cover of glitter.

Step 6

Carefully remove the washi tape from the glass stem and then apply one last coat of Modge Podge to seal in the glitter making sure to also paint just above the glitter line at the top of the stem to seal this as well.

Step 7

Choose your foil transfer. Now this will depend on how wide your glass is but for standard wine glasses the thinner longer texts are easier to apply.

Top Tip – Cut out the transfer you like and before you remove the backing place it on the glass to see if it fits easily around the curve of the glass.

Step 8

Once you have chosen your transfer, remove the backing sheet and apply the transfer to the glass. Gently rub the transfer with the lollipop stick until the transfer has adhered to the glass.

Step 9

Take your foil and place over the transfer area and again gently rub until the foil has adhered to the transfer. You can add as many transfers to the glass as you like.
