When you’re decorating a nursery, theming the room around learning can help your kids memorise numbers and letters better. So, why not get creative if your nursery needs some sprucing by crafting your own simple number bunting.
Follow along to the step-by-step instructions below to create your own and give your nursery some extra decoration.
Here’s what you’ll need
- Shaker numbers
- Tape pen
- Various coloured card (11 colours total)
- White card
- Die cutting machine
- Twine
- Hot glue gun
Step-by-step instructions
- Choose the colours you want to use for your bunting, we chose some lovely muted pastel tones and went in a colour gradient formation.
- Create a simple rounded bunting template out of white card. This should be big enough to fit your number on (we found it’s best to test with the number 10!)
- Die cut your numbers 0-10 using the white card stock.
- Trace your template onto your coloured card and cut out. Scissors are fine but if you want you can neaten the bottom straight edge with a paper trimmer.
- Using the hot glue gun, attach the twine to the back of the bunting flags.
